i have mini Inspiron laptop ,with core i3,2GB RAM and intel HD graphics
I use windows 7 that came with my computer too.
I have a problem recently all the time I am using the little bit of programs a warning saying my computer is low on memory...when I open task manager trying to know what is consuming all my resources I find that a lot of my RAM usage is unexplainable...i uploaded screenshots for details.

It looks like you need to address your page file configuration (1728/2007). There's a step by step guide on how to fix it HERE.

Also don't forget that 2Gig of ram is being shared by your Intel HD Graphics Chip.

Thank you all ! @nelly- that did fix the issue completely
@bean007-that completely slipped my mind..that explains why the physical consumption is higher than the sum of the memory used by my processes...I have to extend my RAM soon.

Just a little caveat to your OP. Use Crucial to scan your rig for your RAM specs and limitations. Nothing worse than buying RAM that either is incorrect or the rig can't use it :/

You really need to bump the ramp up to at least 4GB if it supports it. More would be better due to the shared memory.

If you click where it says "Show Processes from all users" you'll get a bigger list of processes, that might help you see what actually is consuming all RAM
