R.I.P Albert Pyun

RIP. Watched Nemesis on Tubi. Great fun movie. Didn't always have the budget, didn't always have access to the talented people he needed, but Pyun made great entertainment with what he had.

Here is a copy of Albert Pyun's attempt to reconstruct his director's cut of Cyborg.  His version is called Slinger.

After watching a couple his movies off Tubi. I have to say, while his movies were probably never going to win any oscars. He did put a lot of effort into his movie. the Lighting, the composer of the shots, editing of the Fights scenes. Were all really good. He wasn't half assing it like other B-Movie directors.  [Image: RxHHtEA.png]

He was attached to some A-movies including Total Recall but his stint at Cannon pretty much wrecked his Hollywood career.

Albert actually released it a decade ago via his Facebook page. I have a copy of the Blu-ray (autographed), which includes an additional scene not in the DVD version of the director's cut. Is this not widely available? I would have figured it'd be pirated all over the place. The quality isn't perfect, it looks mostly like a workprint, but it is indeed a better film, in my view.

This is a newer remastered version that was officially released on Blu-ray in Germany and Spain.  You can buy it on Amazon.

Yeah that's the one I would like to see... but there's also this which has many many more of the unreleased scenes. Though the vid/audio quality is poor.

I misread this post I think.  Pyun also released his own hybrid cut of Cyborg which was hard to watch because of the poor quality of the restored footage.  Cyborg (Slinger) is the one that was released on Blu-ray in Germany and Spain with much better quality and that was what I provided a link for.  I didn't realize there was also a longer version of Captain America until someone mentioned it in this thread.
