Hi Philidor,
Tried to download the O Yesu Dolce and one of the Bax, but the magnet links wont load in uTorrent (latest version) for me.
Any clues?
Cheers ... Terry

I have no idea, Terry. All of the Bax, for instance, were created at the same time, and I watched each of them downloading to a number of people successfully. I don't know what to suggest. What happens when you try to load them? Do you mean there's simply no seed, or something else?

Thanks Philidor, the Bax download was successful and I am currently downloading the O Yesu Dolce ... probably was something at my end - Melbourne, Australia.
Thanks again for your efforts. Will continue seeding as promised. Cheers ... Terry

Philidor,
Thank you for the magnificent early music uploads.
As for the twentieth-century material, have you considered creating torrents that mirror the layout of the original CDs? Downloading discs and boxed sets a few tracks at a time and then reassembling them is a bit of a drag.
I'm pretty sure most collectors prefer an exact copy of the CD program (with or without split tracks), but of course I could be wrong. I gather from your comments that many of your rips were done in the past for other purposes, so I understand this may not be practical.
The cover images you post here are invaluable for identifying the recordings. It would also be extremely useful to include them in the torrent (you do this sometimes, but generally not).
Thanks again for your tireless and generous work.

Thanks for your comments. I'm glad you enjoy these uploads.
Some of my uploads are full discs, but others, as you note, are one selection or one disc of a set at a time. The reason for this is that, frankly, very few people have an interest in these downloads. As a result, there aren't many peers. The downloads take much longer than if I were to put up the latest version of Beethoven's Ninth. Admittedly downloads are a bit faster here than in Ye Olden Days on KAT, but still: some people I've noted spend an entire evening on a single upload.
By cutting them up into discreet selections/discs, I make it easier to get something complete. Someone who takes hours grabbing a single album of a Pettersson symphony doesn't have to consider the prospect of downloading a single archive that's roughly a dozen discs. As a service to those who enjoy this music, I think it makes sense.
There's a second issue, as well. I'm already at roughly 85% of my bandwidth for this month. While I could buy more, funds are rather tight in the last few years, what with multiple operations for my wife and I. Our money needs to be carefully conserved. If I put up full sets at once, I'd be out of pocket in anywhere from a few days to two weeks.
I'm open to being convinced otherwise, but at this time, this just seems the right approach. I appreciate your suggestion, however.

Under no circumstances should you be out of pocket (or more out of pocket). You are already sharing so much. Thanks for responding.
Kind regards,
JL
