Phase IV (blu-ray upgrade)

Remember that time MST3K actually riffed a good movie? We all make mistakes.

Anyway, here is a sync with the recent German blu that really gives the optical effects a chance to shine. Obviously the audio comes from a VHS rip of the episode taped from public broadcast TV, so it is what it is. I tried to use as little of the feature audio as possible because even though the long gaps between riffs would have made it easy to splice in better audio, the quality mismatch is extremely distracting.

I love this movie. It has a wonderful aesthetic - not recommended for those with antophobia.

Yes its like Ant-dromeda Strain with some 2001 flavored effects, Saul Bass definitely had an interesting eye and I wish the movie was taken a bit more seriously at the time because this type of measured & grounded sci-fi is pretty rare in my experience

I started watching the riff but realized that I was more interested in the actual story.  It was a solid flick, I sure didnt see the ending coming.

Thanks Mr. Thefiist!

Curiously this film got a 4K release. Pity the audio from the KTMA tape is so poor. AI help us!
