#1
Was able to retrieve my old PCSX2 guide on the old KAT from a fake kat
pcsx-2-playing-ps2-games-pc
Please don't download anything from it as its just a fake imitation ,  only for reference  , everything is available at piratebay .

This is a simple guide to run PS2 games on your PC if your PC is good enough to game on ...
Bios is required along with the emulator , u can grab that package from here
Selectively download only the bios folder from this torrent
I've included Bios dump of USA , Europe and Japan .....
Japan bios is preferred to use ...

PCSX2

Is a PlayStation 2 emulator that tries to replicate the PlayStation 2 console to enable you to play PS2 games on your PC.

Advantages over the PlayStation 2 Console

Custom resolutions, up to 4096x4096, Anti Aliasing and Texture filtering to make your old PS2 games look better than their HD remakes!
Unlimited memory cards
Save states, enabling you to quick save and load practically anywhere in your game
Easy cheating using our pnach patching system
Use any controller (PS3,Xbox360 etc) that works on Windows, keyboards and mice
Increase or decrease the game speed by using the built-in frame-limiter for fast grinding or passing hard spots by slowing them down
Ability to record in full HD with the built-in video recorder (F12 using the GSdx plugin)

Pcsx 2 requires minimum requirements for a playable experience
* Windows Vista 32bit/64bit
* CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo @ 3.2ghz or better
* GPU: 8600gt or better
* 4gb ram
It's best if u have atleast an i5 (quad core)/4gb ram/1gb dedicated gpu....

PCSX 2 keeps getting updated , grab the latest version from their website
Download PCSX 2

You can grab your favourite PS2 games ISOs from here or Emuparadise ....

ENJOY ....

Tested games :
Fatal Feame II , Smackdown Here Comes The Pain and God Of War II , Silent Hill 2 runs perfect on Windows 10 x64 , laptops are also able to run it , atleast an i5 CPU is required for a playable experience ...

If for some reason you can't get a controller and want to bind the controls with keyboard and mouse , u need to check this setting to enable binding with your mouse
[Image: XgBiwsU.png]

PCSX 2 emulator also support Multitap feature of PS2 , u can implement it on your PC using a usb hub if you have less number of usb ports , remember here to use a USB 3.0 hub because , the local controller that i shared in this thread consumes around 100 mA , USB 3.0 should give 500 mA , means 5 controllers can be activated at once , Xbox 360 controller is not advised to use with the hub as its current requirement is around 300-400mA , Xbox one is 480mA ...

Go to config,,controllers (PAD) ,, Plugin settings ,, under Pads ,, check the box 'Port 1 Multitap' ,, now check your pads above ,, u will be having ,, Pad 1A , Pad 1B , Pad 1C , Pad 1D , Pad 2 ,, if i'm not wrong Pad 1B is now your 2nd controller and rest 3 , 4 , 5 follows from it ,, bind all the keys for the pads u require to use

Go to config ,, check Multitap 1 to enable ,, thats it ,, if u want to add more than 5 controllers ,, do the same for multitap 2 ....

Another question: does it accept PS2 DVDs or burnt DVDs, just like a modded PS2?

It accepts games in ISO format which are readily available on Internet .

So I suppose it will accept DVDs since an ISO thru Daemon Tools, Win CD Emu, or other apps will be seen by the system as just an ordinary disc?

yes guys it does runs ps2 games via its disc as well , back in the old days i did played using it but now i don't even have a dvd drive in my pc LOL just download the ISOs , its much easier as it boots directly from it , there are barely any ps2 games larger than 4 GB .

to boot from disc , you need to click on "CDVD" and select "Plugin" , after that Click "Config" > "Plugin/BIOS Selector." , Select the 'Configure' button beside "CDVD" , Select the drive "X:" which has the disc , click on OK for the drive menu and OK again for the Plugin/BIOS Selector Menu , now Click "System" > "Boot CDVD (Fast)." It should start .

I'm also testing RPCS3 but it still has a lot of bugs and requires and beefier system , if have some free time , may also drop it here Big Grin
