New south revolution

Viva la revolucion!

As the final voting for new president comes in South America's biggest and most screwed country (Brazil, aka Pindorama), forerunner Cap. Jair Bolsonaro considers appointing military officers to rule over manage main sectors, like the oil and gas state monopoly Petrobras.

Bolsonaro, who picked army general Mourao as his vice-president just before candidature, is a maniac buffon; picture a Trumpesque little Mussolini. Mourao is a small time general, disregarded by the real driving forces old heads in a broken military.

In short, the ruse is to offer a nationalist, harsh on crime, right on individual rights government change with support from the military and against the DoJ, his son had the nerve to state it would require little effort to shut down the Supreme Court - he's a nepotist and all his sons are into politics too.

Half the country is corrupt, many involved with organized crime, and the guy wants to make it the next Venezuela or Bolivia. WHY?

On the other side, Fernando Haddad, candidate for the red star Workers Party, says he will raise minimum wage, retirement pensions, social support, and every possible miracle, including keeping the heavy state management and monopolies. With debt at hundreds of billions (in US Dollars) and a stalled economy, that sounds very unlikely to work, even more considering local laws make it almost impossible to fix anything and the corruption system is an institution, maybe the most popular cultural heritage since Portugal's expedition by 1500.

As of today, the poor son of Italian immigrants is the president elect. Among other things, he intends to reduce the number of ministries from 29! to 15 and sell part of state-owned companies. His staff is to be defined, and may include the only Brazilian astronaut, who went to the ISS in 2006, and a few army generals. How is it possible one runs for president without knowing what and who...

The Dutch, who started the black people slave trafficking business, hit the headlines with a cool comparison of Brazil to the 4th Reich:
