Here are the awesome annotations by The Annotated MST that LaGrrande captured and synched in SubRip .srt format.
For those unfamiliar, The Annotated MST is a bunch of explanations/backgrounders for select MST riffs. After viewing an episode 5, 10, 15, etc times having these little info-bits on some of the riffs are really interesting.
These files are stand alone text subs that PotPlayer or VLC will play along with an existing MKV encode of an episode. They can also be integrated into a single file using MKVmerge (which can also apply a permanent synch adjustment if desired).
All the synching (thanks LaGrrande!) was done for the bsg4you season pack MST3K episode encodes. All the timings are dead on balls accurate though a small time adjustment might be needed one one or two episodes which is easy to do with most computer based video players.
A million thanks to LaGrrande for doing the laborious annotation capturing process which is much, much harder than capturing subs from u-tvbe. Plus, the synch tweaking was a big effort and greatly appreciated, thank you!
Mystery Science Theater 3000 MST3K Annotated Annotations ONLY
PLEASE DO NOT DOWNLOAD UNTIL READING THE FOLLOWING
THESE FILES ARE NOT VIDEOS
THEY ONLY CONTAIN SUBRIP SUBTITLES WITH RIFF ANNOTATIONS BY THE ANNOTATED MST
THEY ARE STAND ALONE SUBS THAT ARE TIME SYNCHED WITH BSG4YOU MST3K EPISODE ENCODES
This share has 24 UTF-8 Plain Text SubRip files for MST3K episodes by The Annotated MST Videos: http://www.annotatedmst.com/pages/6
They are time synchronized with bsg4you MST3K episode encodes found on p2p sites. These episodes are in season packs at p2p sites like TPB: https://thepiratebay.org/search/mst3k avc ac3/
These annotations are explanations of some of the MST3K riffs during the shorts and movies. From The Annotated MST FAQ http://www.annotatedmst.com/pages/5:
"Annotated means we only explain those things that need explaining. We're particularly interested in cultural references-movies, books, historical events, etc. although we've also noted references to other MST episodes where they occur."
Putting an annotation .srt file in the same directory as the bsg4you MST3K episode encode (with it's original name) will allow the annotations to be displayed with PotPlayer, VLC, etc. Note, the MST3K episode name will be the same as the annotation .srt file name minus "-annotations"
Thanks to The Annotated MST project for creating these annotations - thank you! Please see http://www.annotatedmst.com/episodes for many other MST3K episode annotations that have not been converted to subs.
And a very special thanks for LaGrrande, the MSTie who made these stand alone annotation files possible - thank you!!!
PS - the annotated episode numbers and links to their corresponding episodes are below and/or in the nfo included with the share:
