Mutant VOD "Upgrade"
#1
Mutant is one of my favorite Rifftrax (paired with Nightmare at Noon).  I've enjoyed Riffling's amazing Blu-Ray upgrade of Nightmare at Noon, but have lamented that the Mutant riff has always been of such poor quality. For my own enjoyment, I ripped a copy I found on YouTube (linked HERE) and synced the riffed audio with it.  This unriffed version was the same edit except for Rifftrax having the FVI intro versus the Multicom intro.  Kevin and Bill have a bit during the FVI intro and I wanted to keep that intact, so the intro keeps the FVI credit until the actual start of the movie.  I also kept the official Rifftrax outro after the end credits.

The YouTube version is an improvement over the Rifftrax copy, but it has unnaturally washed out colors.  I did a bit of color correction to make it a little better.  It's no Blu-Ray, but it's definitely a step up from what I had and that's good enough for me.  I just thought if anybody liked this riff as much as I do, having even a slightly better version would be nice. If anyone has or comes across a REAL upgrade of Mutant, don't hesitate to share.  In the meantime, for anyone who wants this version, here you go!

Riffling did an upgrade from the Blu-Ray like 4 years ago.

The intro joke you mentioned was cut out, though.

I've never felt so dumb, yet so happy at the same time.  Thanks BadFilms.  I can't believe I missed that.  Now, how to go back and time and not make such a fool of myself . . .

Also, a +1 rating added for you for being so quick to help out.

It happens. It was a long time ago, so it's not surprising it got lost in the mess that is this forum.

I hope The Master doesn't see this.  He would so not approve.

I've seen Mutant & Nightmare At Noon many times & they're always a blast. Mutant (for me) is the better.

But I also think that, while Mutant IS a pile of hot garbage, it's tightly-plotted & the performances are (like my sister friend's cheese puffs) TAWP NAWTCH!. The younger brother (for some of us in the audience) is VERY EASY on the eyes, honey. And I just can't help but be won over by Wings Hauser's perennially-cringe-inducing "I'm TOTALLY ok with being named "Wings", alright?! For the LAST GOD DAMNED TIME, ok?! I'm in a...good, [sniff] solid, place with it, [voice cracks] alright?!" joie de vivre.

Must've taken him a couple of decades to get to that place, the poor bastard. "On the Wings of Wings", indeed...
