Don't try to steal attention away from someone trying to obtain help. That's rude.
Post split to new thread.

Because I'm Getting confuse to choose between them.. plzz rply I found that some of the uploader upload their song in 320kbps with encoder setting: constant bitrate 320kbps (free format) some other upload with encoder setting:constant bitrate 320kbps (Insane), can you tell me what is the different between them. Some time (almost always) free format song are sounds better than insane preset.. can you tell me how can I encode to 320kbps freeformat mp3.Because I have lots of m4a files which needs to be converted to mp3 so that I can play it in Mp3 player.. can tell me which is the best audio converter in your view

Some time (almost always) free format song are sounds better than insane preset.. as far as i know insane preset is not really a constant 320Kbps as there are samples which were in 256Kbps but almost negligible, so i think free format is the constant 320 and that's why sounds better (Jun 15, 2014, 09:49 am)simpsonrony Wrote: can you tell me how can I encode to 320kbps freeformat mp3.Because I have lots of m4a files which needs to be converted to mp3 so that I can play it in Mp3 player.. since you're converting from m4a i would suggest iTunes, and my advice you should avoid joint stereo and always use normal stereo when encoding

I presumed "free format" and "insane" are preset, not actual bitrate values, like lebeque mentioned, but it does seem that insane preset is supposted to be 320 kb/s CBR.
http://wiki.hydrogenaud.io/index.php?tit...e_settings Also, what kind of backwater MP3 player do you have that can't play m4a files?

hi,
I always use LAME, and for fast, reliable and hq audio ripping & converting i recommend Easy CD-DA Extractor. it really is IMHO the best software kit for audio encoding/re-coding/converting and more. And about the Insane vs free format ...don't bother using insane setting, totally unneeded and as lebeque mentioned, insane uses a 2nd layer of encoding witch converts lower bitrate audio to a higher setting, however as the original audio file already was encoded at a lower bitrate the quality that was lost at the first encoding can never be recovered..so to cut it short..... You want high quality Audio for listing on high quality audio system then use lossless (flac) For a high quality audio with minimal loss of range for the demanding music lover use 320 @ constant bitrate For all other audio you listen on all normal to mid range audio players..use a high VBR cause it just saves a bit more space, quality loss in the sound is not mention-able on normal audio equipment. |
