MST3K Season 13 starts this Friday

There are valid thngs to complain about concerning season 13 and the Gizmoplex. Most of these ^^ aren't them.

Looking forward to this. I think the Netflix episodes were some of the best and most consistent riffing of any production team, including the original series. I like Rifftrax, and you can't beat them for quantity, but sometimes it seems like they're phoning it in, and they rely on the same kind of jokes too much.

Me too, and I agree with you about the Netflix seasons--up to a point. I really thought Season 11 had a lot of episodes as funny as anything from the original run. Definitely more hits than misses. But season 12, for me, was really bad.  I'm hoping, and pretty much expecting it to be mostly good this season. Considering I donated/am a backer of them, I guess I have literally put money on this season being a good one!
I agree about Rifftrax too---it can start to feel like the same old thing (which in fairness is mostly to do with the movie. When they get a good one they still hit it out of the park.)  Glad to see someone else looking forward to it and not just hating on elements of it.

I haven't been super-following along but I think the answeres are -- right now, a complete NO, tonight is a live stream for KS backers and other beta testers only.  Later on.  I'm not sure you can ever download the ep, but have to watch it streaming from the Gizmoplex site just like a Netflix.  I could be wrong, I dunno. I think eventually Shout will have Blu Ray sales, don't know about buy and download options.

The episodes will be downloadable but how much of a delay between the premier and that I don't know.

They're using vimeo so assuming the streams are rewatchable, it's not too hard to rip

Okay, just watch the new episode and it was great. The Gizmoplex itself was a great sight, I wish you guys could see it.

There will be a tribute to Manos in two weeks so unless you guys got your passes already, you're SOL.
