Looking for prehistoric fiction book series

I've been looking for book series about prehistoric fiction, mainly about male protagonists, but finding very little luck, I really hope you guys can help me out, i especially look for the horse catchers trilogy (1st book is "when the horses came") and earthsong trilogy(1st book is "the hear the horses came") [see a theme here? ], but anything prehistoric [not north american, please, unless you think it's real good]
