Lm317K Adjustable voltage regulator maths from datasheet

Nevermind, i'll delete this thread tommorow, i found a tutorial on the net describing the calculation and they left the stuff on the end after the plus off.



I have used the maths(i'll try and link an image but i'm useless where I am atm) from the datasheet but cannot convert the linear algebra to standard, yeah I suck. Can anyone help me or spot my error, i know i'm using some extra brackets buts thats cause I didnt trust the internal order solver(after not being able to get the maths going).

Just because this thread seems to get a lot of views over time.

V O = V REF (1+R2/R1)
An image showing the estimation I use. R2 is a variable potentiometer 10k ohms. It only regulates down from input voltage.
