I'm just posting this message really more for awareness than asking for any help. I just wanted to say that I'm highly disappointed with AMD as of late. Have recently bought a couple of the same graphics cards with AMD chipset. Just can't believe the software they put out as of late. Absolutely terrible if you ask me. I had all this going on over the past few weeks. The problem that occured was that Windows 10 was having random blue screen of death and crashing out.
The solution was to roll back to a driver from 2019 in November to be exact. Sorry I can't go into too much detail about which exact card is in question or the driver as I'm not at liberty to talk about it but I can confirm that these cards and the said software that runs them is a complete flop. I am in a habit these days, don't mean to diss people too much, but I always find that Programmers are the ones that cause all these errors and problems. The latest AMD software is so terrible they can't even get it right and to be honest it's just an embarrassment if you ask me.
I was able to sort out the problem simply by blocking the hardware IDs in Windows and prevent Windows 10 from trying to install the latest updated driver and that worked fine for me. It's not really Windows that's the issue as you can prevent Win10 from trying to automatically install a latest driver for a graphics card over the top of the actual driver you really want. I'm glad I solved it and it's lucky I know how to sort these things out because I can imagine there's lots of people out there who don't know how to fix it.
Stupid really to think that in 2021 such a thing can happen and I put it down to shoddy workmanship at AMD and the guys who are in charge of producing the software of these cards and making the software that runs them correctly. Not only did I prove it on one machine I infact proved it on 2 completely different machines on the exact same card. If you ask me the guys at AMD need to rethink what they are doing, I mean who's to know how many of these cards that have been sold and sent out globally to have such a disaster in their driver software.
I hope my thread here can provide a bit more awareness for these cards and don't forget there's nothing wrong with the actual card itself, nor is there anything wrong with Windows or Microsoft it is the dreaded programmers who can't organise to produce software to save their own lives. Really I mean so many people having blue screen of death and then wondering why on earth their computer is doing this look no further than the people at AMD for such shoddy work.
But yes don't forget it's easy you can actually prevent Windows 10 from installing drivers over the top of older drivers, I know people don't like that of Windows 10 but trust me you can fix it, there are ways and methods on youtube where you can get the help you need.
Me personally I don't plan on downloading any future AMD drivers until those guys actually get their heads together and do something properly instead of the work of a two year old child.
