It is just an opinion for you to read if you are bored and have nothing else or better to do
with your time. Please keep bashing me for it to a min.
Thank you.

I have been downloading torrents from just about the beginning of it.
I have a collection of just about everything from all the great rippers and encoders.
I have downloaded thousands of music videos from YouTube
before they started splitting the sound from the picture and distorting
it as much as possible so as to make it worthless for you so as you will stop.

So I know what is quality and what is not quality when it comes to reproductions.
If you are going to re encode or encode videos or record them from off the web...

GRAINY IS NOT GOOD.

If you cannot take your reproduction
and put it on a 13 inch comp monitor to a 75 inch big screen tv
and it be clean and 100% clear...when you look at it 6 inches away...
then it is sub par in my opinion.

Now this is my standard for quality in a reproduction of any video.
I only collect clean reproductions.

I can tell you of all the encoders and rippers
who has the cleanest and clearest reproductions.
From the time they started to now.

So if you are going to try to encode or rip...
remember...clean and clear from the smallest screen to the largest screen.

And if you are doing HDR...

TOO DARK IS NOT GOOD.

I have seen many HDR reproductions that were too dark to even watch
even when you brighten them up by your setting controls on your tv.

So you think you have quality pirated movies?

Put them to the test.
Take some of them and put them on various sizes of screens from 13 to 75 inch.
Then stand about a foot away from the screen and look at the colors and faces.
Oh do not use a super duper video card or anything at ll but just a plain jane media player.
if you want to know the real truth about their quality.
Plug them right into your tv via usb port using a fire stick or external hd.

Then take my test.

You will find out...what I could tell you already about the most of them
but you would not believe me.

I downloaded thousands of movies off of openload
back in the day before most people knew it even existed
and became so popular they had to shut it down

And remember that search engine...you could find anything on openload.
Those were the days.

I got around 70TB's of videos I have collected over the years.

All on external drives.

I think the problem you seem to be having, if you are complaining about HDR being too dark, the reason behind this is because you don't have a HDR panel.  You need a HDR otherwise turn off your HDR features in your TV/Disc Player...

Something tells me that a certain person here intends to have this thread head straight for the Void.  Maybe or maybe not?  Considering the PM I just received about 2 mins ago makes me wonder... Smile

I did not expect this reply. You took me by surprise. It is rare I am ever taken by surprise.

I downloaded and checked out 3 of your movies and they were all grainy.
That would mean that they were not ripped from a disc but more than likely
recorded off the web or from another copy.

Anyway...grainy is not worth having to me.
I have nothing but clean copies.
I am telling you this not to bust your chops but to
give another perspective than the one you are getting on this forum.
And the reason I am sending you a pm other than posting this on the forum
is because I do not want to be crucified by the morons and be the bad guy
for conversing with you.

Anyway...grainy is not good.

Just my opinion and another perspective from another angle.
Now maybe I am way off my rocker and just another moron
but I think you needed another perspective than the one you are getting
from the forum.

Sorry but I don't know what you are talking about all my copies come from original discs, if grain is present then it means that it's supposed to be there.
I have to disagree with you.

You really have no idea about anything at all.  I guess just keep going then in your fantasy world.  All the best from Rodders Big Grin

I know the truth about you.

Maybe you should just keep your "Opinions" to yourself next time so we can all build a better world for ourselves Rolleyes

You don't have to believe me...
take any of your copies that you uploaded on TPB and put them on a 75 inch screen
and look at them 1 foot away and tell me what you see.
That is what I did to them.

If you are watching things on a TV screen of that size then really I would strongly advise that you bought all UHD discs from the shops and make sure you have a very good UHD player that can match up to the same standard.  Never download anything from any of the Pirate Sites and just watch shop bought discs which will give you the correct quality that you need for your "75 inch screen" so then at least you can get the right kind of detail on your panel.

Pirating is not for you, if using such a size screen.  I would strongly stop doing that and just buy all your stuff and then there's no reason to have this thread...

All the best to you Smile

Yes I hear you.
I have all the Gunsmoke seasons. But they are not remastered.  How is the quality of them you have?
Mine is about average.

I have HDR reproductions under 3 gigs that I got from encoders that are nothing less than perfection on any screen.
And they are 3840*2160p

I don't think some-how that going with HD on a 75 inch screen is the right way to go.  Considering that fact that I've been uploading long before the likes of UHD even appeared on the market might have something to do with it.

Me personally I don't even care about under 3 gigabytes, it just means that it's been compressed too much.  You can't have a video file under that kind of compression level to be of any good standard.  Okay so maybe the number of pixels is greater.  It will if it's come from a UHD source.  I have never in the history of the internet ever sourced UHD, I am a completely HD guy only, for the time being.

Under 3 Gigabytes video is not exactly what I would call a very good "Standard" but each to their own just you keep going with your efforts.

Just a further "Opinion" while we're on the subject.  Do you think that if you take an uncompressed video from a UHD, do you think the size will actually be small?  I mean seriously those things are massive.  The size of them when they are ripped you are talking about a lot of data.  I don't think you quite realise that if you are talking about compressed down video files to under 3 Gigabytes, do you not really understand that the amount of data in reduction in size that you are throwing away, that is actually one heck of a huge amount to simply just remove and throw away?

I don't think you realise really how big UHD is.  If you really want the best then don't pirate anything because you won't get the right kind of quality you are looking for, especially on a whopping 75 inch screen.  If you can afford the screen then you can afford the bought discs and a good UHD so stop whining about all this and just accept the reality.

Let me explain something to you that you have yet become aware of it.
You can take any video of any size of any kind and of any resolution and put it on a external drive
then plug it into the usb port of any new tv 43 inch and over(the larger the better)with a built in media player.
And it is going to upscale it.  And in that process if you stand about a foot away from the screen and look
every flaw with the video will jump out at you. Due to the up-scaling of that media player in the tv.

Now you do not have to believe one word that I post...just go do it and see it for yourself.

I have looked at so many that I can tell you even how they reproduced it and what they used.
Most all the time.
