It's My Turn ... Movie Upgrade Requests!
#31
No worries my friend. You know me. I can be heavily sarcastic sometimes. I'm honestly not as stressed about uploading all of your missing Shorts as my previous post may have suggested, but I definitely did need a short break after last week. I appreciate you taking the time to meticulously search the Forum to make sure that none of your Requests have already been uploaded. I know that you're still compiling your list and doing basic research, but could you possibly give me a rough approximation as to how many total Shorts you might be missing, and also how soon you plan to post your list? I only ask, because outside of this upcoming project, I do have a lot of other crucial work to get done this week...

I'm stunned by this- Thanks a million for all that uploading, Servo. ESPECIALLY all the HD Highs! I've got a lot of upgrading to do. I'll be happy to upload my copies of The Film Crew: Giant of Marathon & The Film Crew: Killers from Space if you don't mind me getting the downloading done first.

I'm away for a few days and come back to see all this. Thanks Tom and all. I do have some files as well (though probably not as meticulously labelled). If some have slipped through the cracks I might be able to help.

No problem. I'm glad some other actual Members here finally noticed... besides of course the thousands of "Guests" that have clearly been raping this Thread for all the free RiffTrax. What's wrong with you people?! Create an account already, and then go give all your money and Utz Cheese Balls to Milke, Kevin and Bill! Tongue  -> www.rifftrax.com/donate

So you really have these officially released High TV files?...

The Film Crew - Killers From Space (1954) - High TV MP4 480p (1.47 GB)
The Film Crew - The Giant Of Marathon (1959) - High TV MP4 480p (1.78 GB)

If so, then kickass! I knew those 2 would be the easiest Requests to get filled. I was shocked they were missing from my collection when GB put those on his list. I accidentally left my Film Crew and Cinematic Titanic collections on my MST3K hard drive when I should've moved them over to my RiffTrax hard drive. The only reason I never mentioned them before on my past Request Threads was because I thought for sure I already had them. Anyway, take all the time you need to upload those. GB and I greatly appreciate the help! Big Grin

Tom just does not disappoint: he knows all my nicknames.

I must not be the purist others are. Although I have some of the above, none of them are in High Quality or High TV format or the like. I suppose it means I'm comfortable with a balance of decent resolution and smaller file size.

Now I have an interesting question: How much disk space do you devote to (1) Rifftrax movies, (2) Rifftrax Shorts, (3) Rifftrax miscellaneous like the live shows and reunions, (4) other riffed material like MST3K, ICWXP and the like, and (5) all of the above combined? And if you have backups (which you should) and effectively at least double that amount, what does it come out to? I know memory is relatively inexpensive these days, but dayum. Not exactly cheap, especially if you go the hi-res route.

I may have screwed up- I don't have the officially released High TV files of The Film Crew - Killers From Space and The Giant Of Marathon, I have straight MKV rips of the DVDs. I thought that would be better, but I take it you aren't looking for those even if they're larger?

(6 TB RiffTrax hard drive + 4 TB MST3K hard drive) x2 Backup hard drives = 20 TB

Yeah, we're just looking for the officially released files for all of our Requests. We already have the MKV DVD Rips of those. Thank you for trying to help though... Smile
