Ios 7.1 and Readdle documents 5
#1
Hello, my Mac book crashed and I got this ipad from my brother. It's funny, this ipad is way different than using my computer that I had, and was just trying to do some of the things I been doing for years on the other device.

I spent some time before finding this forum and getting answers but is seems I always run into a problem and have to try a different program. Currently I am using ios 7.1 and readdles documents 5 app. When I press download on spot just above the magnet link it directs me to a service to stream the movie. I also tries to click on the magnet link. I watched a tutorial of the app and they say just click on the download button like I just described.

I understand that I different browser must be used instead of safari and documents 5 by readdle has it's own browser. Me and my two dogs miss watching our tv programs and movies and we all really have tried hard to figure this all out on our own. Can someone explain this process and thank you in advance. I been using pirate bay for about four years and before that I used lime wire for music. Me and my dogs are rebels in every way and are realizing that straying from the group is how one learns more so please give us a hand life is hard and we just want to take a break once awhile and watch a good movie.

P.s. I will watch this tread very closely and am here all day for the next few days so we do not miss your replies or questions.

Thanks,
Skateboard kid

After reading for weeks with no solutions to my problem, this is what I have learned so far. Browsers with http that allow torrent data to pass through is how you get the torrent. Torrent clients like utorrent are not allowed on the apps store for ios devices, which means I can not download magnet links like I did with my old Mac book. These browsers like icab and ucbrowser allow torrents to pass through and that is why you see simple browsers included in a lot of file management apps. I tried several of these apps with built in simple browsers and they did not work, I don't remember the reason for each one not working and wish I could include that here. Since these are apps from the apple store I am almost sure there are certain glitches that make it hard or not possible to download torrents yet they will probably download other stuff just fine.

There is an app by readdle called documents and I feel that this May work for me but I am missing something. I can use their browser to get to the page where my movie is, and I can see the spot where the torrent magnet is located but that is where I am lost. According to the apps instructions and the video I watched, it should be very simple. Just click download and I will then see it loaded in the app and I can then watch it in this same app using their video player.

I have been searching this forum and my head is about to explode because I have been researching this for weeks now. I was really hoping someone could ask me the right questions so they could help further or maybe this is a common question and maybe you could copy and paste the answer for me here. I am a big fan here and have used vlc on my computer before it broke recently, and now I have this cool ipad that takes a lot of getting use to. I wish I had my old computer, both my book 4 and Mac book both bit the dust because of logic boards. They would go to sleep and not wake up, a great commercial that would be. So here I go for the third time with computers just trying to do what I always did and it takes some setting up to do, then I guess the ipad will also break and maybe you guys will be here too years to come. Thanks again, I really appreciate it, we are all in this together.

I thought I would try some things while I am getting help from you guys. I went into the tutorials section of our forum and noticed there is instructions for converting magnets into torrents, it is called magnet to torrent me or something like that. After copying the magnet and pasting it into their magnet me site soon another number called a hash number appeared. I copied this new hash number and went to my browser in the app documents by readdle and pasted it there and pressed enter. The browser took me to an internet site where tv show was. I noticed a download button there and thought that I could now simply press download and documents 5 would then show me on their screen that it was down loading but it did not. What I saw was a list of code as long as my arm. So guys I really do need your help. I don't have money to buy a stream service and my internet connection is slow a lot of times. I wanted to store the movie on my ipad or in a cloud, or heck maybe put in my pocket. No not the program app called pocket. Hahaha

So is the idea that a torrent in recondizable to the ios situation and therefore a hash number is not. Is that how we avoid torrents on ios and allow downloads? If so, why did the file manager documents 5 not recondite the hash and begin downloading. Or does another internet site need to download this first, that makes no sense unless I am storing it remotely or streaming it. So what am I missing here. While you guys are reading this I am going to look at the instructions again about this file manager app. I do have the latest upgrade in ios from 7.0 which is now 7.1. The documents file manager by readdle I just downloaded their current version. I have not downloaded anything yet on this ipad, do I need to set something up there? Thanks again skateboard kid
