I'm a n00b to chatting in IRC, so I thought I was doing something wrong, but it appears the IRC for this site is down.
Forgive if you already know this, I'm just an idiot voider who doesn't know how to properly report shit like this.
Please fix this so my lack of a life can continue. I like to chat while I watch re runs of Star Trek TNG. You guys are fucking up my Saturday night

err It's not down, it's currently with channel mode +i (invites only) so only invited users may join the channel.
You can always try /knock #thepiratebay.org (after connecting, write that command and send it, it will request an invitation for the channel, then you need to wait for someone to provide one, this has to be done everytime you connect, unless they add some sort of exception list)

Why u say that? Are you a troll? Are you a spammer? Or just paranoid? This is pretty usefull specially to prevent spammers like those who have been appearing in the channel in these last few days. The only downside is, Admins have to process each user 1 by 1, hard work....
EDIT: Looks like the channel is no longer +i

Looks like the IRC is down now, or is it my browser, it keeps saying that it can't get in contact with site: chat.efnet.org:9090.
I know that it's probobly my browser, but how do i fix it, or if it's IRC, when to expect it back.

chat.efnet.org is a web site hosting an web based IRC client.
The IRC servers of the efnet network itself are still running just fine.
If that particular web host is down, you can try another. Or just install an IRC client and use that.
