If they upload fake torrents or in the wrong section. Then u can report them on these forums.
#3
You have not looked yourself?

https://www.thepiratebay.se/browse/401

Tell me seriosly if you belive he is not fake.

Its obvious, any admin should spot that within a second, I wont have to report every single torrent

ADD:

They are all now gone, thankfully.

WTF now they are back!?

there is a section called "Report comments and torrents" its better to post this details there not here at Site issues. If the spam torrents list doesnot goes away u can only wish tbh. Shouting here wont bring any change posting in correct section could be.

Tpb crew are the best hands down the amount of work they deal in exceeding high

peace out

OP - report fakers in the appropriate forum if you want to make a positive contribution in helping to keep TPB clean.

Read our FAQ too for all the forum and TPB basics. Pay particular attention to part 4 on spotting fakes.

Poppycock. TPB has always had fakes because the site has never had 24/7 mod coverage, so that's something you're going to have to deal with. See this related thread:

Let me know if I'm doing this wrong, I just signed on today and sure don't want to get banned already.

edited Mar 16, 2016 22:21 pm this post because:

Post a link to the torrent you believe is infected in the report bad torrents section.

Note that we ban people who make malicious false accusations, so if you don't post the link you will be banned.

That's a copyright infringement report, it has nothing whatsoever to do with the uploader. You are just as likely to get those with a VIP as with anyone else.

Ignore it.

How do they get my isp add?  If its not the uploader, do we know who it is?  Is there any way to stop them from doing that?

They joined the swarm just like anyone else, made a note of the IP addresses in it, looked up the owners of those addresses (ie. your ISP), and sent them an email. Your ISP forwarded the notice to you. [They didn't reveal your identity to the company which notified them.]

Getting an offshore VPN or seedbox will stop them--IP address providers outside their legal jurisdiction won't forward their emails to you.

Hi - new here, but not new to TPB or torrenting.

Just wondering something, after what seems like an ever increasing number of poisoning uploads, all with instantly recognisable fake creds (like huge apps in a few MB) - the ones I watch most are the Mac apps:

Does anyone have any idea what the motivation is behind this idiotic vandalism? Is it copyright holders or someone employed by them trying to poison the torrent sites, TPB in particular? (Heh - may be Kanye West. Oh, hang on, he uses the site, doesn't he?)

Is it just malicious twats who get some sort of kick out of creating mischief - even when they can't see any of the results (unlike pranking somebody)?

Is it brain-dead morons who just take a perverse delight in making others annoyed?

Let's face it - there's a fair amount of work goes into all the fake torrent posts, from the headers, the descriptions, the actualy uploading - everything.

So, who would do this and why?

My money is on a small group employed by one or more of the copyright holders organisations, but maybe I'm just being a conspiracy theorist?

It's annoying, for sure, but not earth-shattering. The mods do a great job of cleaning up the feeds, usually pretty quickly (thanks to all the Mods for that), and what we can't get one day will be back to normal a day or two later.  So whoever it is, it's not effective.

OK - I'm back to lurking and the occasional post.  Smile
