Hi, maybe you remember me for the chat IRC. I want to know, what means TPB? Why do you use TPB? What is so appealing on TPB?

Initially, it meant to me that it's a place that is a great source of free swag.
But as time passes, I made a lot of friends and learned a lot, I realised that it's more than just a place of free swag. TPB has a lot of uploaders selflessly volunteer to offer at no charge and no gain, and from them, I have learned that sharing is indeed the most important human trait.
This may all be an illusion to some, but for me, it's real.

It's a long time. Since 2008, have you met more people with the same viewpoint?

TPB is the best public library in the world. It uses modern technology (p2p) instead of physical materials (paper books, discs, etc).
The weird part is that file sharing is misunderstood by a wide part of the population because of spurious reasons. This situation provoke that the work required for the site to go on must be non-official, made by volunteers that use their free time.
I think TPB deserves some UNESCO prize.

I look at TPB and I see this
I call your attention to the uploaders on the top of that picture carrying free information into this awesome archive!
Lots and lots of information stored and available to anyone who needs it.

Hello TPB users.
I am doing a college research about the perception you have about the website "the pirate bay". I mean, i need you to answer the following questions as neutral as posible, not thinking about the legal issues or the viewpoint of the big companies, just your opinion as TPB current users. I am also a user of the website, but i really need to know what you think.
The questions are:
1. What does TPB means to you?
2. Why do you use TPB?
3. What is so appealing on TPB?
4. Since when do you know this website?
5. Do you like all the content shared on the page?
6. What do you think about copyright? Should it disappear?
Please apologize me if i made some grammatical mistakes, but i am not from a country where the language is english.
I appreciate your help.
