Has TPB been compromised?

1. Torrents with high seed that had been made by VIPs and other Trusted Uploaders are now missing.

2. Many of these torrents were re-upped yesterday but they were uploaded from suspicious looking user names like "jsdfkje4t3434" and "asjhkjvh77" and "bfjsdf4343323".

3. None of those are VIPs or Trusted Uploaders. In fact, the records show that each and every one of those users was created yesterday.

4. Not a single upload has been made so far that did not originate from a user account more than 24 hours old.

5. There have been absolutely 0 comments made on any torrents since then.

6. There have been no announcements at all as to what might be going on.

I have an account and was able to log in, so there has not been a system wide "reset" of user accounts. Sad

I am getting fakes for the first time and is spiking hard drive usage making almost impossible to use computer.

Make your own torrent site without downtime, slow speeds, ads, miners or fake torrents - And make us all happy!

Some good info, altough a little old: https://forums.digitalpoint.com/threads/...y.1085698/

And yet here you are.
And yet here I am not. I have not downloaded anything from here in over six months.
It really is a shame, I loved TPB before all the crypto-mining and redirects. I can't stand that shit.

That's not a half bad idea.
I understand downtime, but downtime of 12-24 hours needs to be explained. That's the core of my frustration, why do the admins NEVER post any updates as to what's going on?
An admin said "we don't answer to you". True, but any decent business model (even non-profit) answers to it's users in some way. If you're saying you don't give a flying F about users, that's your prerogative.
My initial post was not rude at all. It just stated facts and asked what was up. Your very aggressive and unprofessional response speaks volumes.
Jesus I wish I had gotten a screenshot of the weird BS I was seeing on TPB on Thursday night. It was completely wack.

Here I am not. This is not me posting.

I'm outta here six months ago.

And this is still not me posting. I don't even come here to read anything.

Tune in again tomorrow, same time, same place, to see what I don't have to say for myself yet again.

If it was just a big roll of scammers and now it's under control and your just trying to shrug it off as part of damage control, just say so, I would understand. If you had some servers crash and lost a bunch of data that needed to be re-uploaded, SAY SO, shit happens. But lying to us and hiding behind your BS bravado does nothing to endear you to your users.
Let's make this crystal. Every single site you mentioned has the spam issues you mentioned on a frequent basis. Scammers don't come in 'big rolls', they come in bot farms.
If you know a little about trackers in the heyday you'd also know that they don't report scammers or fake torrents because they don't comment on everyday occurrences.
If you know a little about sites going down you might realize that a resurrected site's main concern is merging the temp server/backup/tape(aka long term backup image). This will probably be done without looking to see if any new dodgy accounts were made then said dodge accounts deleted post deployment.
If you know a little about people, you know how stupid you look trying to tell the mod of the worlds biggest tracker how to tracker.

Top replies from him too haha.

Yo ravager, click on my user name in tpd and tell me when I created the account. I'd buy that for a buck.
As far as ads, crypto mining, etc. you must be an entitled idiot. Let us know when you get your own torrent site up. *eye roll*
