Happy Friday 13th

I let it go and keep extracting even though it was corrupted and checked to see if some of the files were watchable, but none of them have any video and only has audio.

What I have for you here is the entire Joe Bob Briggs MonsterVision Friday the 13th Marathon. This is the all nighter that someone recorded on vhs tape off of tnt way back in the day. I found this years ago on what is most defiantly a dead site now. It contains movies 1-3, 5 & 6 plus all host segments and most commercials. It goes without saying that these are not the highest quality files in the world and the movies have been edit for TV but its a lot of fun. The file compressed is just over 18gb. It comes out to five folders with the files for the film split up in those folders but everything is in order. You can just drag all folders into VLC. I think there might be some joe bob fans out there that will appreciate these.

Enjoy!

not sure if this is helpful or not but it's the host segments from a Friday the 13th Marathon .......

Joe Bob Briggs Friday the 13th Marathon (complete) on Monstervision

I can open some of the video files and there are both sound and video ... not sure which one it is but the sheriff is talking to his daughter about Tommy Jarvis .... I wish there was REAL riffing on these movies but it's nice to see some "history" .... the video is very good and the audio is as well. Thanks to Kellogg for their contribution Smile

im not sure why some of you are getting corrupt files. When I get some more time I may try to reupload as individual movie files or uncompressed if no one has beat me to it. I am glad a number of you have been able to download and play the files. What files or folders specifically are showing up as corrupt and will not play? To all those who have enjoyed you thank you and you are welcome.

It's all the files because when I've downloaded it the whole archive is corrupt and I get the error when it's decompressing.  The result is the files play but have no video.  If you do get the time it would be cool because I'd really like to see these, I love Joe Bob and he's a local boy.  I have a whole mess of MonsterVision episodes but none of them are the Friday The 13th movies and none of them have any commercials which would be pretty cool.

I've not tried to download this but I have better luck downloading/uploading large files to/from MEGA with Firefox or the MEGA app. Chrome seems to bungle anything over 8gB for me.

Guys I was having the same corruption problem. After unzipping the archive I only had 5gigs of somewhat working video. I tried to open with WinRaR and went to tools--->Repair Archive--->treat file as zip, and now i have 19g of files and guess what? It's fixed for me...so I would give this simple thing a try and hopefully it helps someone else.

Upon opening the fixed archive it still said it was corrupted but like I said It yielded way more usable video and I have watched the first two movies and they work just fine in VLC.

Good luck guys.

Enjoy!

Thanks for Posting!  Monstervision and MSTK were my favorite shows of the 90's.  For anyone interested, linked folder has re-encodes of each part combined, with remaining commercials removed.  Audio sync is a little off in Part 1, but it's not really a dialog heavy movie anyway
