Good GOG Game Sources?

Okay, the original is now longer needed to be strictly ontopic.

Now on DOS and others that are said to be not totally good. We have the list of 313 products for starters, know the names: How can it be re-built properly, folks? Something like a common template plus appropriate sources will be needed. I know InnoSetup or may simply do raw, put as Goodies. This way all of what you don't like can be appropriately fixed and shared for everyone on the web, like on this very forum. Let's act, not losing time on a buzzilion messages.

Of course if not interested, want to discuss instead, fine. You do you.

Steam "additionally" won't be used unless I'll have the ability to verify authenticity from Steam itself, directly. Indirect is a no go.

SpoilerGOG is used precisely for this reason, that every installer can be checked for being directly from the source, thanks to digital certificates included. Practically, in gaming terms, I don't have anything except a real-life legacy CD/DVD disk collection of around few hundreds games, that I still have not got rid off, then a Steam account with a dozen games (my oldest with a hundred was lost), the rest is GOG. But, may look into if you can assure me on Steam being directly verifiable without paying, no 3rd parties. Will it be handled the same way? No. Steam has over 69,566 games, as a guide, the average for GOG is roughly 3GB, so, total: 209TB. I don't have that space.

The only exception made is when a game is in a virtual environment, isolating the real system, like in an Open Source emulator. From the security standpoint it's alright.

Well, I will not participate in the topic looking forward or fix DOSBox releases since no demand for. There are very important matters at hand, on maintaining fun available for everyone, and, unless I am done, the attention will be passed onto it 1st. This is forum is not bad but it has certain questionable unprofessional entities, and it eats time like nothing else, the limited resource. Maybe someday, somewhere, the lines will cross again. Hopefully by that time the entities will disappear.

You guys do know that most games are handled by the publisher.

Sure, most of the DOSbox games might not be configured to your taste, but they try to get it to work on most hardware. And you get most of the original files. You should be able to put the files on an old system and run the proper EXE or COM file directly.

...Or you know, you could always configure DOSbox to suit your taste, instead of bashing a company that tries to get Good Old Games to the masses... oh wait, I forgot what forum this is.
