Free VPN service to sign up for a TPB account?
#1
If your country has forced all the ISP's to ban TPB domains, you will get a "wrong code" error at every attempt of sign up. Not only that: TPB has banned a lot of VPN's, so that it seems impossible to register an account.

Are you aware of any free VPN service that allows you to sign up for a TPB account?
Have you used one in the past?

No you won't.

You will get a 'wrong code' error if you attempt to register from an IP address which has been banned regardless of whether your country has forced all the ISP's to ban TPB domains or not.

If you attempt to register from an IP address which has not been banned you will not get a 'wrong code' error regardless of whether your country has forced all the ISP's to ban TPB domains or not.

If you are, you can help get it banned by posting about it here for the information of spammers and scammers, who are always on the lookout free routes in.

Are you suggesting that I can't sign up because my IP address has been banned? I do not have a static IP, and you are claiming that all my IP's have been banned.
Show evidence about that. I have tested multiple IP's from my ISP, and I get the error every time. I have no reason to think that those IP's have been banned, and TPB doesn't publish a list of banned addresses.

Also, the reCAPTCHA code is quite powerful. There should be no need to blindly ban addresses, if that is what happened with mine, which I doubt.

No, I'm not suggesting anything about you, I'm explaining that "wrong code" is the error message the system throws when an attempt is made to register from a banned/blocked IP address. There is a stickied thread stating that.

(Aug 20, 2014, 07:32 am)jeypard Wrote: I do not have a static IP, and you are claiming that all my IP's have been banned.

No, as I've just explained, I don't know what your IP's are, but I do know that:
1. if your country has blocked access to TPB the only way you're able to reach the site to attempt to register is indirectly ie. via a proxy/Tor/VPN
2. if you're connecting via a proxy/Tor/VPN, TPB doesn't know what country you're in, so it cannot possibly be blocking your registration based on the fact that your Government has blocked direct access.

(Aug 20, 2014, 07:32 am)jeypard Wrote: Show evidence about that.

1. Fuck you, Noddy, I don't have to show you anything. I've explained what's going on, learn from it or don't. If you choose to remain wallowing in ignorance it's no skin off my nose.

2. How could I possibly "show evidence" that it works that way without giving you direct access to TPB's source code?

3. There is no need for "evidence", since I've explained it above, using flawless logic.

4. You show me evidence that TPB has the psychic abilities necessary to be able to tell what country you're connecting from when you're connecting via a proxy in a third country.

5. Then explain why the fuck TPB would be going out of it's way to stop people using it's own site just because some crackpot government in a third world country decided that the dumbasses who elected them shouldn't be allowed to access the worlds greatest library. When the founders of the site are in jail right now for refusing to do any such thing.

(Aug 20, 2014, 07:32 am)jeypard Wrote: I have no reason to think that those IP's have been banned, and TPB doesn't publish a list of banned addresses.

Since, as your point out, TPB doesn't publish a list of banned addresses, you equally have no reason to think that those IP's haven't been banned.

You do however, have a plausible explanation that implies they might well have been--free anonymity services are used by people who want to hide the fact that they've been banned from a site.

And, you have the debunking of your conspiracy theory above.

What? So you think google is psychic as well as TPB? Well, in for a penny in for a pound I guess.

I can only point out that google can't tell whether someone registering on TPB has previously been banned from TPB because it doesn't have access to TPB's database.

ie. reCAPTCHA code might be powerful at keeping out bots, but it tissue paper when it comes to keeping out ban evaders.

The truth is that regardless of sarcasm, I've actually taken the time to explain everything I've said here, and everything I've said makes total sense.

I've no doubt you will get huffy and ignore it all, but some of the other people reading might get a laugh out of it and actually learn something.

If you are not suggesting anything about me, you shouldn't have posted in this thread in the first place. Your contribute has been zero at this point.

Congratulations, you got what I was asking for in the original post.

1. Your childish comment elevates you to your proper level. I'll leave that as it is, dear (read: scarcasm) stranger from the interwebs.
2. That is your problem, since you can't back up what you stated, as you are really mentioning. The question is, why did you even suggest that?
3. The "flawless logic" bit made me laugh. Smile That is just a bunch of random words put together without any single source.
4. I have nothing to show to what seems an immature stranger, who insults and displays childish behaviours all over an internet forum.
5. I would really like to sign up for the website, and I'm pretty pissed off to see that the only way I can do that is by paying for a VPN service that might not be banned. So I have no idea why they are doing whatever they are doing with the error code.

(Aug 20, 2014, 08:08 am)NIK Wrote: Since, as your point out, TPB doesn't publish a list of banned addresses, you equally have no reason to think that those IP's haven't been banned.

As I do not know anyone else who used those same IP's recently, and since I have in no way caused any trouble to TPB, I believe those IP's have not been banned. As said, if you think otherwise, show evidence of it.

Free anonymity services are also used by people who can not access certain websites because of any sort of restrictions applied to their network.

That is quite hilarious. So, you should show evidence, and then maybe suggest a VPN that I can use in order to sign up for an account on TPB.

What? So you ramble about randomness?
You are assuming something another might think on the basis of your own theories.

Who ever said that? What does that have to do with the topic at hand?

There is nothing to explain. You are free to read the original post, and see what I asked for.

Since we're all making numbered lists:

1) TPB doesn't give a fuck about governments banning access to any site.

2) If you get the error "Wrong Code" it is because the IP is banned or blocked. There is no conspiracy involved. If you think there may be another reason, go back and read the first part again.

3) If you want someone to look in to it, there is a "Wrong Code" thread: https://pirates-forum.org/Thread-ThePira...Wrong-code

4) TPB isn't obligated to provide anyone with access. If the only way you can access is by purchasing a VPN service, take that up with your government who has chosen to block TPB, or with any of the knob gobblers who are the reason addresses get banned.

5) This thread is for finding a free VPN that hasn't been banned. It is unlikely you'll get a response because either no one is aware of one, or if they have indeed found one, they are reluctant to share because they don't want to see it banned.

6) If you aren't discussing item #5 exclusively, you are in the wrong thread. Go find the right thread, start one if it doesn't exist, or STFU.

Thanks for pitching in, Moe.
There is no doubt that TPB is not obligated to provide access to anyone. However, I am sure many would like to sign up to contribute to the site. For instance, I want to comment on some torrents that either don't work as expected or contain viruses, or both, and I would like not to pay for that.

That said, the linked thread gives me Error 403 (We're sorry, but we could not fulfill your request for /Thread-ThePirateBay-Wrong-code on this server. [...]). I would like to check it out, if it can help me, or others that have the same issue accessing it. Is that an issue with the post count, or similar on my part?

If the 403 error persists, post the exact text of the error page in your account issues thread.
