EL CAMINO - a Breaking Bad movie

An awesome cap to a great series..It pretty much finishes the story after the last episode of the series. Was not let down. There was only 1 real hardcore action sequence ,but that did not take anything away from it

7/10

Mortal Engines 2018 https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1571234/?re...f_=nv_sr_1 was just ok, blatant rip off of star wars scenes made it seem silly

Just finished "War of the Worlds" - Season 1.IMDB

Spoilers ahead...

I am a fan of sci-fi and HG Wells and have seen many imaginings of this story, but this one was particularly hard to watch. While the acting and cinematography were excellent, the story suffered greatly. In order for me to enjoy a sci-fi show or movie, it has to be based in real world physics and the story has to make some sort of sense.

What I found difficult was the methods the authors decided to use for these "Martians" to exterminate the human population. It starts off with the slaughter of billions (I assume) of human beings with the use of sound that affected people badly and they shutdown all electrical equipment, phones, Radar, vehicles, everything - including draining batteries. So when that phase stopped, car batteries, etc. should have been able to work again. We know this because some people were able to use flashlights and get a generator going. That there would be no power for the days that the story encompassed just doesn't make sense.

Next. The aliens then released robotic hunter-killers that looked humaniod that ran on all 4's and that sported a punch in their head area - used to finalize a kill - and it could fire projectiles as well. The main feature of these machines was the annoying and loud noise they make when moving.  frankly, it seems to me they would be every inefficient as anyone who could hear would be aware of there presence long before they became a danger, but this story it didn't matter.

The third thing that made it hard to watch was the absence of subtitles. Now, I don't know if it was a function of program's producers or if the uploader skipped that part, but as much as I respect or French speaking people from France, I don't speak, read or understand the French language. you might say, "well, get an English version"> OK, where is it? I only version I found featured the French speaking French, and the English speaking English. So, essentially, I missed haft of the entire series.

The end left you hanging, and I'm interested in where it's going so I'd like to see a season 2 for this, I just need some subtitles and explanations of why an intelligence capable traveing through space to colonize another planet use such lame methods to destroy of current lifeforms - us.

I agree with El Camino, contrary to most sequels that one had it's own style and yet made sense with some class and atitude. What a gem!
Guess what made it so good was the unpretentious mood, it wasn't made to be a greedy mega-flick, it's almost like a fan-made sequel.

Gemini, Astra, and others on this tepid season... Blah. Nothing new. I guess I'll have more fun with Gerard Butler's action movie, "Olympus has fallen" sequel.

So much bad taste crammed into so short a film! Smile  I watched it in a  sort of horrified trance, not believing it could be so outrageous (and funny!)
