Super Mario Bros.
No, really, there was a movie of that name. It stars Bob Hoskins as Mario and Dennis Hopper as Bowser.
All characters are there, but the story is warped (pun intended) into a dystopian future. It's a mind fuck.
Mine as well make a movie for Double Dragon or Clock Tower.

John Wick 3 was a good bridge to the "expanded trilogy" this is becoming... After Harry Potter, everybody jumped on the heptology - decalogy bus.
