Hollywood is putting more and more money on FX and visuals, as in past times they put on dancing, music, and FX itself; but they are cutting the writing and creativity, it feels like a very expensive Bollywood; why paying so much to make the audience abandon them? The sensible audience...
i agree with you , special effects can be amazing but they dont make up for a lack of an interesting story. Maybe ill grab a copy of some screenwriting software and see if i can write something half decent in 2019 : )

Roma-- I get it, its a really authenthic film, we don't see much of those, these days. But my god, seriously, SERIOUSLY overrated!!!!!!

Adam McKay wrote it. He was a former SNL comedy writer and friends with Will Farrell (who produced it). It was funny, but not funny enough to be a comedy...It was serious, but not enough to be a drama... Good to see once...
The best part was Bale's depiction of Cheney... Love him or hate him, he's the new Deniro...

IO , My god Netflix needs to seriously raise their game when it comes to their movies! It's just all so silly, and this movie was terribly insipid, and stupid with two leads who had no chemistry, at all!
