I watched The Conjuring (2013) and thought the suspense was pretty tight despite the plot not being very original. The acting was top-notch and I was hooked til the end, but that was partly down to the level of anger I felt towards all the common sense rules flying straight out of the window, like in the vast majority of horror films.

Say for argument's sake, you're holed up in some ginormously-oversized house with at least 7 other people, and you know that a terrifying demon is going to try and pick you off, one by one, during the night. What do you do? All sleep in separate bedrooms waiting to die? No, you all huddle in one room with at least 2 on guard with a baseball bat (or other weapon) while the rest sleep, and the second something goes awry, you swing the bat and wake the others up... I mean, ffs, it's not rocket science. Worth a watch.

I watched Underground Julian Assange and that's completely different story than other two films about him served. He doesn't seem so crazy and unreasonable when you know his mom taught him not just stand beside when world falls apart. That's nice thing to know.
