I've been getting this error when trying to index as well, and I'm relieved it's not just me.
There's no point in anyone remaking their torrent files in different chunksizes as that only applies to the dreaded 500 Internal Server Error.
I've passed this up the chain to Winston, fingers crossed that it's an easy fix.

Here, Sid was mentioning possible cause is Cloudflare, if that is case, you may try to login CF account, go to your site, go to "Page Rules" tab and there create rule for URL:
thepiratebay.org/upload
and there add settings to disable various protections on that URL. Maybe worth trying if it will remove error. I see it more frequently than no, using Firefox beta. Ad blockers disabled on TPB.

Same problem. Tried to upload 1Gb of mp3's (54 files) to audiobooks. It worked on the 6th or 7th try.

I just tried uploading a torrent via Tor,since past 15 minutes tried it 8 times, same "Error - File empty" every time.
Don't think it's anything to do with size,my torrent is a mere 100 MB (pics only) and the .torrent file size is 48 KB.
edit - by the way, when uploading via Tor,i don't see any captcha,is this normal? I'm asking cause i've uploaded torrents couple months back without captcha.
