Error 504 while uploading torrent
#1
Hello,

I am trying to upload a torrent since yesterday but i am getting "Error 504 Gateway time-out"

Here is the weird part. When i click 'add to index' i get a Error 504 and after few seconds the page refreshes back to a fresh upload page :/

I tried using VPN as well but same thing is happening.

Try the suggestions here. That's the same class of error, except in this case, TPB is taking too long to load for one reason or the other.

I cannot tell if it is a Cloadflare error or a TPB error. If it's Cloadflare giving up  before TPB has a chance to finish processing the upload, you may also have better luck to try with Tor, or simply try again every hour or so.

Edit:
That's a Cloadflare error, where TPB isn't responding to the HTTP request, or completing the handshake. As far as I can tell, it seems to be a server upstream configuration problem.

That's definitely a TPB error. How big is your torrent and how long is it taking to time out?

I get the same thing, but it did upload the torrent that I trying to upload. So just ignored it.

Torrent is close to 50GB. Time out happens within 10-15 seconds.

I tried uploading a torrent of 49GB files and it uploaded smoothly.

The size of the .torrent file is 130KB with 8MB piece size.
It means that we cannot go down to 4MB piece size because the size of the .torrent file will now exceed from 256KB which starts to throw errors as per old threads/posts of this forum.

Getting other weird 5xx error for the torrent file size/piece size is understandable but i am wondering if the torrent file size is responsible to the 504 gateway timeout error.

Thank you for you suggestion. I will try it out. Thanks.

Attention !!!!!
The error is corrected, with not a large description. Do not make a great description. I checked on several files
