Do you still buy music CDs?
I still buy them if I like the band, although in the past 10 years I have noticed that only one or two songs are worth listening to.

Local libraries near my place lend audio CDs.

Ever since I discovered that fact, no $ to Sunrise Records.

I don't buy neither use them. The few CDs I still keep on a shelf are for sentimental value. Like old people, I'm keeping mementos, but don't even have a CD player out of the boot drive on my PC and the BD on the home theater - None of them are used.

You would lose the booklets and "stuffy" feeling, but even considered putting it all into a 1 TB flash drive? Can have a backup (hard disk) unit if you like.
