DVDFab, BRD Patch, ESET Smart Security and Windows 10
#1
[I was trying to find a thread here to post this. Do we have a general Windows 10 thread? When I was using Windows 7, I deleted the User Account that Windows Setup requires you to create and used the "built-in" Admin account. So far, in Windows 10 I am using the User Account I created during setup. This is the big difference for me here]

In Windows 10, I am using ESET Smart Security 8.x. I suppose this might the same or similar with other Security software. After installing DVDFab, I had to "Disable Protection" in ESS in order to apply the BRD patch for DVDFAb. I forgot to make an exclusion for the "BRD.dll" that is part of the BRD patch. When I run DVDfab, "BRD.dll"is quarantined. So, I "Disable Protection" in ESS" and after creating an exclusion for it, I attempt to restore it. This fails [according to ESS]. I think this is because you need ADMIN access to modify anything under "Program Files". This is confusing to me. How do you get ADMIN access for this folder while within ESS? I'm sure someone can make this simple for me. I was thinking about taking ownership of "Program Files" or something like that...
