Custom movies

I was just wondering what was the meaning of the word custom when you see it in the name of the movie.
I would appreciate if someone could explain that to me. Smile

If you check some of those torrents, you'll see what logic infers. For example:

NOTE: Im giving the link to TPB https, not the onion, to make it easier to read.

Evan.Almighty.NTSC.CUSTOM.SWESUB.DVDR-aTerFalleT
Quote:SOURCE RLS.: Evan.Almighty.DVDR-Replica
MORE INFO:
AUDIO
[x]Dolby Digital 5.1          English
[ ]Stereo 2.0
SUBTITLES:
[x] English                  Original
[x] Swedish                  Custom
MENU:
[ ] Untouched
[x] Custom

As shown here, that's not the original DVD but a modified one - some options were added and somehow it's a "replica" of the standard release DVD, maybe a reverse authoring from a stream/mpeg file.

Ok, so when you add something, like a audio file that was not part of the original movie you should call it CUSTOM?
Thanks for answering! I appreciate.

Don't need to, some uploaders add [ESUB] or just "EN subs" on the torrent name (title) when they keep/add English subtitles, or "EN" when audio is in English, etc.
There's no rule written in stone for naming torrents, but getting to know how different uploaders work will help; also note time makes changes and some stuff is superseded, replaced, or change meaning.
To tell the truth, most uploads are modified in a way (or many ways), rare are identical to the original source, they're usually reencoded / compressed.

You're welcome!
