Not really - it's pretty common in india and surrounding areas.

I remember cooking low budget vegetarian curry spaghetti in Ghana - with pasta, baked beans and veggies all in one pot. On charcoal. It came out delicious Smile

Curry spaghetti? Sounds twisted.

I don't think Italians eat curry, do they?

EDIT: I should correct myself. When I said "innovative," I merely meant it was a cool idea. Thus far, I've only eaten curried carrots, potatoes, and chicken on white rice.

I've never eaten naan bread with curry.

Lemon curry?

In Spain they do this thing they call 'Curi' which is rice, chicken and veggies boiled together in one pot with curry powder. I figured you could do the same with pasta, and LO! - You can Smile

It's certainly not part of the traditional Italian cuisine, and unlike other european countries they don't seem to have incorporated the colonial era curry powder into any 'native' dishes. In Denmark we have meatballs in curry. In Spain the have afore mentioned 'curi'. In Germany they have curry bradwurst with curry ketchup and extra curry powder on top. In Britbongistahn they have curry pickles, etc..

It's quite usual and traditional to use stuff such as lime/lemon and/or lemon grass in curry dishes all over asia.
