I think I'm just retarded but I've been searching google and I don't think I"m finding the answer to what I need.
There's a lot of people that cut the cord to their cable connection and are now using digital antennas for an old fashion over the air programs. The thing is I want to be able to broadcast my own pirate signal but I'm not finding an answer on what i need to do it.
So anyone got any information they care to share with me?

A great idea, but you can't afford the equipment, or the fines for operating an unlicensed transmitter. You could probably set up an analog broadcast without going broke, but you'd still have the regulators knocking down your door pretty quick.
If you and your neighbors all have decent internet, a Plex server under your desk would serve them better.

Plex server? Please explain.

But I don't think it has the range.

The device you link to is not a DTV transmitter and wouldn't be picked up by anyone that didn't also purchase a compatible receiver. As it operates in the WiFi band, it has the same limitations and interference issues.

No. I think you need to spend some time with your favorite search engine learning how TV broadcasting works.

True. A few suggestions:
1. Analog TV is easier but few people use it; most homes don't even have them anymore, so you'd be wasting time and resources for near-zero audience.
2. Theres also the mobile-DTV standard which is lighter; even if transmission equipment is expensive, operation is cheaper. Your image would look good on small devices but completely unusable on 50" screens. Provided you're in a country with plenty of DTV-capable phones, of course.
3. Around here there's the free band DTV; community channels are assigned for public use within short distances (low power). Check your local regulations.
4. If law doesn't favor you, learn to deflect your signal on nearby buildings, firing from high density, high interference areas, using the landscape to your benefit; mobile transmitters on top of buildings may be a better tactic, but you need access to those facilities and tapping power sources (or a muffled generator).

That's the idea of a "pirate" radio; it's not legal.
