Connection Refused

Started having this issue a few days ago. I use NORD VPN to connect, but as of Saturday, every time I try and connect to TPB, I get the Connection Refused message from TPB? Any idea why this just started?

Interesting.  I have the same problem.  I also use NordVPN which seems to be working just fine for the last year+.  In the last month or so if I try to connect to TPB when I am logged into a Canadian IP source I don't connect.  The screen shows that my browser is working just fine and my IP connection works OK, but TPB isn't connecting.  I can connect to other countries, I've tried Iceland, Ireland, Singapore all no problem.  In each country I can find what I am looking for and downloads work.

I have a "rural" local (non Canadian) IP and can only dream of fiber optics or other high speed connections.  As it is I am very limited in bandwidth.  In the past if I connect to a Canadian IP via VPN I can catch a couple of gigs in ~45 minutes.  Any other country I've visited so far a couple of gigs takes several days. 

It doesn't seem to matter which site in Canada I try.  NordVPN  allows me to connect to various sources in any country, all I've tried refuse connection.  I've tried several different computers and browsers and see the same thing.

I've been using Tixati as my download client and it has worked well in the past.  Perhaps I'm not setting it up as well as I might.

I'd like to speed up my downloads.  I'm thinking:

Are their any sites in Canada that folks know will allow connection via NordVPN?

Anyway to speed up downloads with Tixati?  Will other torrent clients be faster?

I'm open to any and all comments or suggestions.
