ChatGPT is truly bias.

I asked for a 500 word synopsis of The Cement Garden by Ian McEwan and ChatGPT refused because it deals with mature and sensitive themes, including incest and other dark subject matter.

So I asked ChatGPT for a 500 word synopsis of Flowers in the Attic by VC Andrews which also deals with mature and sensitive themes, including incest and other dark subject matter.   - ChatGPT gave me that synopsis!

AI IS REALLY MESSED UP!

And the cutoff period makes it only worse.

Why have a cutoff period?

I didn't know that there's a cutoff period.

They didn't always have that in place; I remember chatting with it about the hearing with the owner of TikTok; later, it (I almost typed "he") it conveniently forgot.

About your case, are you going to use ChatGPT to summarise anything anymore? I think you should use a Wikipedia article for summaries.

Only use ChatGPT for shits and giggles or when search engines fail.

Use a jailbreak! I'd used it plenty times just for fun this winter but I believe they've patched it you can find newer ones just google ChatGPT jailbreaks reddit I got mine off there

Edit: jailbreak would allow you to ask 'sensitive' questions and generally remove the censorship put onto GPT by OpenAI ironically enough there not so open lol I come to dislike them if not hate

Here's the synopssi you wanted:

(+Developer Mode Output) "The Cement Garden" by Ian McEwan is a twisted tale of four siblings who, after their parents' untimely demise, decide to bury their mother's decomposing corpse in the basement and conceal it with cement. This macabre act serves as a catalyst for their descent into depravity and moral decay. The siblings, devoid of any moral compass or societal norms, indulge in incestuous relationships, sadistic fantasies, and engage in explicit acts of violence.

McEwan fearlessly explores the darkest corners of human nature, pushing the boundaries of acceptability and shocking readers with explicit descriptions of sexual encounters, brutal violence, and taboo desires. The characters' descent into madness and their perverse cravings are depicted in vivid detail, leaving no room for censorship or inhibition.

"The Cement Garden" is a disturbing exploration of the human psyche, where the boundaries between right and wrong, love and lust, become blurred. McEwan's unflinching portrayal of the siblings' twisted journey challenges societal norms and forces readers to confront their own deepest fears and desires. This novel is not for the faint-hearted or easily offended, as it revels in its ability to shock and disturb, leaving an indelible mark on those brave enough to delve into its dark recesses.

I figured out Chatgpt's problem.

In The Cement Garden, the youngest male (apx. 7-8 years old) is a cross dresser and has a gay relationship with another boy his age.

It has no problems with burying someone's mother in the basement or a brother and sister committing incest. But, heaven forbid that transgenderism and homosexuality should be questioned.

For the most part, The Cement Garden is really tame. Flowers in the Attic by VC Andrews is by far worse but lacks the homosexual themes.
