CPU Stress Test
#1
My new laptop has been heating up, and I decided to run a stress test using a software named HeavyLoad and observe the temperature readings using HWMonitor.

This test was cancelled after one hour and sixteen minutes. The HWMonitor readings are included in the attachment.

Is there anything wrong with the system?

Well it's not too hot. IDK what you are expecting anyone to tell you based on that.

I just expect the truth.

Is it too soon to tell?

Should I put it on a little longer?

EDIT: OK, basically, I want to know how long I should leave the stress test and what kinds of temperatures to expect.

In other words, if I leave it on for 12 hours, what temperatures do I expect.

The consensus is that it's under 70 degrees celsius that's the normal temperature for Intel Core Duos. Should that be what's "normal" on the HWMonitor readings?

Thanks.

1 Hour is more than enough time. However HeavyLoad isn't the greatest testing program for CPU load.

A 5C temperature difference is really good. As long as it isn't reaching TJ Max (100°C) then there isn't much to worry about.

AIDA64 probably a more comprehensive bench tester.

Is AIDA64 64-bit?

The CPU I have is 32-bit.

You have a dual core 32bit processor?

I have an Intel Core Duo processor, yes.

And it is 32-bit, that's correct.

Why?

If I recall correctly AIDA64 has both 64 and 32-bit. You should be able to find a download somewhere.
Intel processors have a higher Thermal Junction than AMD chips.

Do you know if your laptop processor has a fan?
How long have you had the laptop?
Do you know if you have a thermal pad or thermal paste on your processor? It (which ever one) may have worn down or hardened.

Well 32bit processors stooped generally being available when multi cores came out, sure you dont have a 64bit processor that is also 32bit?
