If you define no brain function and no heart function as dead... then a fetus is clearly alive because it has both.

So up to now the consensus would indicate nothing happens after death, no heaven with angels, god sitting on his throne, no hell with pitchforks and fire the devil being some red guy throwing you into eternal damnation.
Looks like we have only got the here and now so best make of it what we can. Just time to d/load a movie and order a takeaway because theres no point worrying.

There is certainly something for us after we die. Since I've been accused of writing posts that fit the "tl;dr" category, I won't go into exactly what I think. But let's say no one knew for sure, why not have a pleasant thought that when you die good things happen? If you just die, then you won't know about it anyway, so while you're living, keep a good thought in your head instead of thinking, oh when we die that's it, lights out.

It can hear sound it can response to things that happen around it... but people define it as not being alive? What is being alive? Just because when it gets older it can't remember that stage of its life? What about people who alsheimer? They can no longer remember what is going on so are they no longer alive? At what point is a computer program going to be considered alive? Awesome (Sep 20, 2014, 07:57 am)bob5695 Wrote: the same that happened before we were born. (non-existence) Wohooo! yeah!
