I was gonna say I've used Adobe Audition dozens of times to do important work.  It really is the best tool for the job.  I've even used Audition for doing some movie sound conversions as well and had a complete success ;-)

If you dont use the default settings for cleaing out the audio, I think Magix Audio Cleaning Lab cab be quite good. When I clean my (fast, 170bpm) electronic music, I have use the declicker settings at very low (like, the lowest default settings is 50%, but I need to have it at around 20% for it not cutting off the kicks)
