TFM Audio Tool - HELP!
#1
Recently, I installed TFM Audio Tool to create a Blu-ray set of CAPRICA that could play on USA standalone players. TFM Audio Tool made it so much easier and the end result is fantastic.

HOWEVER, during installation, it screwed up ffdshow, AC3, and Haali. I discovered this when trying to play Return of the Jedi 4K83. I had to uninstall TFM Audio Tool, then reinstall the K-Lite Mega Codec Pack to fix it.

So, my question is, is there a workaround or something that would allow me to keep TFM Audio Tool? I really like it and it is easy to use. Is there perhaps an alternative program that is also easy to use?

Since its an audio software messing with video codecs, the simplest soultion is to run it in a VM such as VirtualBox or VMWare.

Or... google for instructions on turning it into a thinapp - making it portable so it doesnt putz with the registry.

In either instance you *must* RTFM if you are not familiar with these processes.

Running it on a live DVD\USB stick is also an option, but install might not be permanent.

Thanks for the reply, but no. I don't do VM's. Can you offer a similar program for me to check out?

You can try running it with Sandboxie, in a sandbox, and pull the finished file out of it. Once again RTFM.

Another method is using a Window Live on a boot USB stick such as:

A simpler method, but many Live versions are based on the PE model which often leave out multimedia libraries and functions.

All too familiar here with apps screwing with system functions. Not so much for TV which we havent watched in years, and even tossed the box a while back, Would cut the cable, but its how we get the net!

Hello.

First, sorry for my english because I speak French...

I have had a big problem with my hard disk and so, I reinstall a new Hard disk with a new Windows and all my log was réinstall too but since this reinstallation, TFM Audio Tool doesn't work... I see the log who start but when I launch a convert, the % doesn't start.... (I hope you understand...)

I have the same problem For TFM AUdio Tool and I think it's because of K-Lite Mega Codec but not certain...

I install SandboxieInstall-527-3 for my Windows 10 Family 17763.253 so I think it's the good version for but It doesn't work for me, I have Bitdefender Total security and allow the sandbox to work.

Does I install TFM Audio tool normally or by the sandbox and if it is like this could you explain me in more details because I'm a newbie in...

Thanks a lot in advance, because you're the only trace on Google for a solution....

Yes, I installed TFM within Sandboxie. I did the conversion and exported the resulting file to my desktop.

Thanks for your answer, could you give me your configuration because I don't understand... I did the same like you, and after I launch TFM in de sandboxie but do you see the usage bar which indicates the percentage space that works ?

Thanks a lot !

Edit:

Ok , I just test for full remove K-Lite Codec pack and all the other codec ...
And reinstall TFM Audio Tool and it seems that even whitout K-Lite Codec pack TFM doesn't work.... So I'm very lost.....

Yessssssssssssssssss

I just find,

I put K-Lite Codec pack and TFM Audio Tool and the bug was that I tried to convert a file AAC 25 in AC3 23.97 ...

TFM Audio tool don't work with AAC. I put my file AAC in Audacity and convert in ac3 and after I put the AC in TFM and it works !!!

If it could help anybody else....

Thanks and bye Wink
