Audio Production Questions

I’m working on material for a sketch comedy album. I’m about half-way finished. I’m guessing I’ve got about 45 minutes to an hour of material. I’m now starting to think about production: actors, recording, distribution. The goal is to have fun, generate an audience, and make money or break even.
Ideas I’ve been toying with are to have it produced and mixed over the internet, which I’ve never done before.
Does anyone with experience in this genre have any ideas about going about it they can offer? So far all I have is material. What do people think the next step ought to be?

Youtube sounds good but what is Partner Verified? It seems to be linked to Youtube? What does it do?
