Assorted Magazine download
#1
Hi guys,  is there anyway of not downloading the full file and just picking certain mags from the list. I've noticed the file sizes have grown considerably and I don't want to download a 5GB file for two mags. Undecided

it depends on how the files are packaged.

if each magazine is an individual file or folder, then yes.

on your client, inspect the torrent to see how it is packaged; this differs from client to client. with transmission, i can select a torrent and choose to 'view inspector' which will allow me to choose which files i want... but once again, this is determined by how the files are packaged.

Thanks for replying.. I use Bittorent but just downloaded Transmission which I used to use. No luck with my attempts so far. It's a shame such large files have to be downloaded.

Can you post the URL of such a torrent? I just can't see what you are discussing.

If the magazine files are archived in a single file, you will need to download the whole archive to extract separate files.

Use qbittorrent. For both win/linux.

Click on FILE tab for torrent, and unclick the boxes for files you *dont want*.

For large torrents you can use this methio to download portions at a time.
