Are you patriotic?

I never missed a day of our yearly constitution day until I was in my late teens.
Nowadays I just sleep through it like a "day off".

Are you patriotic towards your homeland?
Celebrate national days, stay by your culture, supportive to your countrymen , etc.

Just. Do you like your home?

I once held the idea of "the homeland" close to the core of my ethical code, then I started paying serious attention to history.

Being patriotic is not a good thing. Noone should be patriotic, because it is a blind following of something because you just were born there. It is stupid and people should follow what is right not what is home.

British and proud.

Wouldn't want to live anywhere else I chose to live in England because it's simply the best place for me to live.

And there I was thinking ole blighty, my birth-land, was a floating turd of fascist pond-scum. Funny how life turns out.

Anyhoo. Where one's mother was retarded enough to drop one out is not a reflection of one's nature.
The biggest hurdle humans face is culture. For some reason we seem to be pre-programmed with a need to belong to something, regardless of it's moral, social or intellectual value. It's easy to accept that your country actually means something tangible or of importance, or represents who you are, but in truth it simply means your mind is most likely closed to all of those amazing alternatives.

We live on a planet.
