A message for ex-christian riff-fans

I know you said Austin-area but if you want to do something online where everyone doesn't have to be in the same room, I'd love to work on it. I've got a couple of other riffing-style projects right now but this wouldn't be similar to those at all.
You also stated Christian faith-related films but I think adding material from other religions/cults should be looked at on a case-by-case basis. I think the best criteria at the end of the day should be, "Is this funny?".
There's a lot of great potential here and I'd love to be a part of it if it moves forward.

Hello kids! I've been a big Mst3k fan since 1991, and have followed the gang through all of their various projects.

There's one goldmine of riffable-material that hasn't been touched, though. Namely, Christian movies!

I understand why Rifftrax would avoid touching yhe genre, but that doesn't mean it can't of shouldn't be done!

Being an ex-christian, raised on biblical-rules and the ironic avoidance of those rules by the Christians around me, it's obvious that Christian-movies should be riffed by people who know Christianity, and the behavior of conservative Christians. 

If anyone is interested in such a project, let me know. And if you want to go with the idea on your own, I'd like to see the results!

Is there a reason you'd only be interested in doing this with ex-Christians?

I ask as I know a lot of devout, practicing Christians that also rip into these sorts of movies, specifically because they present very one-dimensional, hypocritical characters and really, really poor understanding of core doctrines. Or just outright conflate the Bible with political parties and the Cross with the Flag.

You might be surprised how many are actually willing to take part in that.
