A Render Thread
#51
Five consecutive posts without a render, in a thread created specifically to showcase renders?

If you want to hassle someone because they haven't uploaded something, a PM is the appropriate medium.

If you want advice on how to achieve a certain effect, a new thread is appropriate.

If you're not sharing something you have created, think twice before replying in here.

PS. Also, don't freak out that I've posted in red. Some of you guys are ridiculously hypersensitive. Mods post in red to a) clearly differentiate between the (vast majority) of posts they make in the role of a forum member and the (small minority) of posts they make in an "official" capacity; and b) to make directions stand out so that they're not overlooked.

I'm not sitting here seething with fury.

That said, you are expected to notice and abide by "modcalls" (as we call such posts). Nobody has been penalized in any way at this point but if people continue to disrespect the topic now that they have been reminded of it then light slaps will be dispensed (followed eventually by full on punches in the face if people still refuse to have the courtesy of sticking to the point).

Finally, don't attempt to debate modcalls within the thread they're posted in. The modcall is not the topic so attempting to discuss it is by nature off-topic and posting off-topic right after you have been told to stop posting off topic will get you slapped regardless of the validity of any points you might make. You can PM me if you think I'm wrong, even if you just want to tell me I'm off my fucking rocker and make Hitler look like My Little Pony. [By which I mean you really can PM me, without fear. I may ignore you but I may reply and I may even change my mind. But as long as you keep the abuse private I won't feel obliged to do anything to you.]

A little something I decided to work on for Halloween.

I've stated this before, but I don't really know much about lighting. Most of what I have accomplished has been through trial and error. For the lit Jack o' Lantern, I used a Point Light with a color of 255 150 21 and an Intensity of 50. Could someone tell me how would I go about keeping the glow from beaming out the top of the Jack and illuminating her inner thighs. Realistically speaking, that shouldn't be happening. If you can help me solve my lighting issue, feel free to send me a private message so as to not derail the render thread.
