anything i downloaded from that site has no manifest files. How do i deal with that?

Doubtful. 3D-Load gets most of his files from the same place that Phoung and other sharing sites do. I don't think he changes the files at all, so I highly doubt the manifest files get removed. If zonegfx has the manifest files, then all the downstream sites will have the manifest files (expect possibly Phoung's sites. She does insert her own branding into the stuff she 'borrows')

Could be that you've downloaded Renderosity/otica/cg bytes stuff and they probably won't have manifest files unless the uploader made a custom DIM.
