0xc0000005 Issue
#1
So I want to play SWKOTOR 2 and I cannot even start the game as every time I try to run the game it says that the game fails to initialize properly and gives me 0xc0000005. Is there something I need to do? Like a registry cleaner. If so, can someone let me know which registry cleaner to use that will take care of it? Also, please note, I am not so knowledgeable with in depth computer tasks so a list of steps would also be appreciated. Thank you for any help!

0xc0000005 seems it could be Windows Update related, uninstall the last lot of updates you got.

lol...You're going to want to slap me but the sad thing was is I continued to do more research. Lo and behold, went through msconfig.exe and hit the "Hide All Microsoft services" and it worked. Thanks for the help and sorry for the inconvenience.

"Hide all Microsoft services" is root kit. Your error is generic purposefully.

Well, before I did that it would not even start for me. But when I did the "Hide" thing it now allows me to at least get to my newer issue in which it now crashes after character creation/intro movie. Went through research on that and followed all the instructions that I could...disabling movies, disabling vertex buffer, whatever I could find. Since none of these things have worked I believe that it all boils down to my computer sucks and somehow, being poor and all, I need to figure out how to get a new computer or at least a new video card. It may just be that the game is not compatible with all the updates Windows has come out with or it may be something so simple...who knows...meh...I always have SW:KOTOR 1...I can find some comfort in that.
