Using these new powers, broadcasters such as Sky, BT Sport and Virgin Media will be able to cut off illicit streaming websites attempting to host Premier League matches.

Don't worry, there are still torrents and cyberlockers.

They can't do it all over the world. No one is big enough to shut them all down.
I don't see why we should block free media, except if it harm businesses.
But since most of the money goes to big companies, managers, etc. we wouldn't scratch the community, which is what matter most.

Btw, someone can do it with proper organization and resources. We aren't far from it, if not already there; Echelon...
