EDIT: Been working on my encodes across all my different projects and this keeps happening with my rips randomly



From what I understand this might have something to do with copy protection on movies but does anyone have any ideas on what it could be and how to stop it?

Sorry I can't help you with your encoding issue...

Is that happening when you rip a BD or when you are encoding?
Are you using Cyberlink PowerDirector to encode or Handbrake?

1) Both
2) Just something like handbrake

This happens when I rip some blus with either MakeMKV or DVDFab. The first rip seems ok (will pixelate during scrubbing) but if I put it through Handbrake or any other encoder it gets worse. If I put it into Powerdirector it fixes the issue (like with the Equilibrium encode above)

Small request (for anyone): While the movie itself is a dog turd, Sky Captain is a visually striking movie, and the only release I've seen of the quiptracks of it so far is a rather low quality rip, pixelated and washed out. Any chance and of you A/V wizards might rework that one? (Or did I bump my head and miss a re-release?)
