Full Version: Is there a backup of kat.cr?

Was the website backed up before the closure in 2016? The new katcr.co site started with an empty database.
I'm not interested in the community pages (forums) in "kat.cr/community/" (forums), "kat.cr/blog" and "kat.cr/browse". All torrents appear to be listed under:

Code:
https://kat.cr/

If you are aware of a mirror website or data dump, you can search for "tiltagon", for instance, and see if torrents for Tiltagon PC game appear (kat.cr had at least three torrents for different versions).
If you're seeking files from the old KAT site, than no, they're gone. Everything was grabbed by the US government. All of the content was compromised. Cached images of old KAT are just that, and nothing more. They're not active.

What do you mean by "cached images"? Proxy sites?
The entire website was obviously taken down, but I'm not surprised if there's no major archive of the torrent database.
He means by "Cached images of old KAT" what you refer to as "a mirror website or data dump"

His point is that such things are useless. Sure, you can search for tiltagon, and you might find an old torrent, but it won't be seeded. And if it is seeded then you would have been able to find it, with updated comments, on another site anyway.

Archives sound like a good idea but the reality is they're a total waste of time and bandwidth.
